Even though we were feeling bloated from the sumptuous dinner at Mamasita, there is always room for dessert! Cacao Green is a new addition on the busy Swanston street, promoting itself as the healthier choice with ‘REAL’ frozen yoghurt and fair trade chocolates. I ain’t a fan of yoghurt but saw that they have a sizeable range of waffles on offer and could not resist the temptation!
Housemate ordered the Italian yoghurt with a variety of fruits (can’t remember the exact name). According to her, it was ‘authentic’ as it was slightly sour (which supposed to be how real yoghurt should taste like) and much better than those she got from the supermarkets!
As mentioned earlier, with the irresistible waffle menu, I decided to indulge in the Signature Dark Chocolate Waffle. It was soft and fluffy unlike those dry and hard Belgian waffles from Max Brenner. Size wise, Cacao is generous with their servings and the shape of the waffle is so adorable (see picture below)! However, it was too dry, if only I can add a scoop or two of my favourite vanilla icecream from Haagen Daz! It would be my little piece of “heart-shaped” heaven!
