REVIEW

The celebration for Daddy’s birthday continued with a lovely Chinese dinner at Tung Lok Signatures, VivoCity. It is THE place to try all their classics and popular dishes. There were so many fabulous looking dishes featured in their menu. Asking the waitress for some of her recommendations, she gave us a rather bad attitude and Β kept saying that it was up to us. T_T

So, I decided that we should pick those items that were featured more prominently in the menu. First up, we had Shark Fin’s soup with radish (I think!). The soup was light and soothing, Β a great entree for dinner I must say. Also, shark fin is known to be nutritious and good for aging skin! =]Following that, we had Wasabi Mayo Prawns. They were the right balance, not too spicy or overpowering. The bread flour on top done perfectly, crunchy but not too thick! As for the salad at the side, it had a mix of fruits and vegetables which added a zesty flavour to the typically dry fried food.

The Eight Treasures was a combination of different vegetables fried lightly together. Selected this dish to create a healthy dinner! ^_^

We also had Peking Duck which was cooked to order. The waitress had to slice off the skin on the spot personally and wrapped them up before serving it to us. The sweet dipping sauce was love, it reminded me of my favourite duck dish in Taiwan! 😦 I love eating all things in wraps I must admit! As for the rest of the duck, we were given the options to cook it in a stew or fry it with beansprouts and vegetables. We settled for the latter and it was magnificent!Lastly, we had their famous fruit juice in test tubes! The presentation was outstanding and innovative. Even though the combination of certain fruits sounded doubtful, they actually tasted fabulous and delicious!

Amazing food selections, family friendly restaurant but the lack in service attitude was daunting. With such prestige, I would have expected better and dedicated service. Oh well, at least the food justified its popularity.
