Sick of Macca’s and Hungry Jacks and craving for some individuality? I am pleased to introduce you to Burger Edge! 🙂 It is a franchise burger fast food restaurant born in Melbourne. Stumbled upon it while walking around the newly refurbished food court at Melbourne Central.

Decided to give BE a shot and we ordered one Original Edge (which is their signature, duh!) and I had to pay the price of upsizing to a large meal as I wanted to have onion rings instead of chips on the side. An additional 50 cents was also incurred for the Turkish bread used for my burger. I was surprised by the portion and was pleased with the quality of the burger. The serving was generous, the meat was juicy and succulent and there was fresh vegetables put in nicely! The aioli dressing used complemented the burger to a T! The onion rings were similar to the angry fries at Hungry Jacks, battered/deep-fried slices of onion rings which were literally “ONION RINGS”.

The other one that we had is the Feel the Cheese burger. Yes, we took the bread apart and felt it! (just kidding). The presentation was great and the burger was yum (besides from the patty being a tad too burnt)! The chips were thick and crispy, covered in chicken salt.

BE appeals to diners (like myself) who want to have a bit more customisation and having more ‘real’ and quality vegetables and meat patties while indulging in some sinful goodies! A memorable first experience indeed!
